The Challenge.

When longtime supermarket in Boro Park, Gourmet Glatt went under new ownership, they were faced with the challenge of revitalizing this supermarket in a very competitive market. Their main challenge was how to communicate the unique shopping experience they had to offer and attract the attention of their target audience when consumers had other lower cost options in close proximity to the supermarket. They knew that their store was special with their excellent service and specialty departments which is unique in Boro Park, but how to let everyone and get people to come?

The Solution.

It was time for a complete brand makeover. The trick was to stay true to what was good about the supermarket and the old brand, while making it crystal clear that this was something completely new, fresh and different. We renamed the supermarket with the short catchy name Certo, which means ‘certainly’ in Italian. Together with the tagline ‘Certainly happy.’, it is upbeat, confident and instantly communicates the service-first approach of the new owners.

Our talented designers created a striking, unique and attractive brand visual with bold colors and modern elements that is impossible to ignore. The new look and brand created quite a stir in Boro Park, attracting attention and getting customers to the store. In fact, should you visit Boro Park any time soon you are sure to spot the bright Certo boxes everywhere…
